App Takes Care of Late Night Munchies

A night in San Francisco drinking with friends turns into a late, desperate search for a restaurant that is open. Familiar story? Well now there’s an app that can help out.

Marcia Gagliardi, aka “The Tablehopper,” has introduced an app for anyone who likes to eat or drink late into the night.

The app, Tablehopper’s Top Late-Night Eats in SF, recommends over 95 restaurants, cafes, pizza joints, taquerias and more serving up food after 11:00 p.m. Done in her own wonderful, unique style that is truly a trademark (and makes me laugh every week!), each listing has a short blurb about the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant along with a few must-order dishes.

Marcia might be the most well-traveled food person in town. If she’s not covering an opening or special dinner, she’s out with family and friends, trying different small neighborhood spots around San Francisco. Following her Twitter feed usually leaves me salivating.  So her advice is usually pretty spot-on when it comes to food finds.

If she’s not the lead expert on dining, especially late-night dining in San Francisco, she’s pretty near the top of the list.

The app is available in the iPhone App Store for $2.99 (with an Android version coming soon).
